IMPORTANT CHANGE OF SCHEDULE!

There will be no rehearsals March 6th because of the Republican Caucus.

Because we believe that it is imperative that every citizen exercises their right to vote, we will not hold choir rehearsals on March 6th.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Dear and Most Wonderful Singers, there will be no rehearsal for you on Tuesday evening, February 14th so that you can celebrate Valentines Day. (Bruce says we have a date at 8:15--right after Concert Choir is over!)

Young Artist Choirs will hold rehearsal at the regular times on that day!

Linda H Walker

Linda began singing and playing the piano when she was only three years old. Her love of music began to blossom at age five, when she sang her first duet in church, singing the harmony part. She composed her first serious song at age ten, and became church organist at age twelve. As a teen, her love of music grew as she sang in and arranged the music for a delightful girl’s quartette that became quite famous throughout the Boise, Idaho area . After marriage, Linda continued her study of music, while teaching private voice in her home. When her children were grown, she combined her love of music with a love for the youth when, with her husband, she founded and directed both the Treasure Valley Children’s Chorus, and Treasure Valley Young Artists, teaching two hundred and fifty children each week. In addition, she directed two women’s choruses: Cantare Singers, in Ontario, Oregon; and Idaho’s Premier Women’s Chorus, Una Voce in Nampa, Idaho. During over eighteen years of directing and grooming countless ensembles, she personally arranged much of the music performed by her award-winning groups. A number of Linda’s delightful compositions have been published and more are in the process.

Bruce W Walker

A well known music teacher, conductor, adjudicator, and arranger, Bruce grew up in the Boise, Idaho area. After receiving Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music from BYU and BSU, he taught choral music, first in the public schools, then for fifteen years at the college level. He became renowned in the Northwest for taking ordinary singers and teaching them to perform extraordinarily. His choirs unfailingly received highest honors in festivals and national competitions. Service in his Church included various musical assignments, including directing two large multi-regional choirs. Much of his success with choruses is due to his gift for arranging music to enhance the abilities of the singers.
