Just a brief reminder of our Una Voce practice Tuesday the 18th. Bring your talented friends and come enjoy a Group Voice Class from our great director, Linda Walker.
Also a reminder to sign in on the back table each time we come to practice, and for anyone new to fill out & turn in a registration form. Tuition for this Spring Session is $100 which includes tuition, music, binder, etc. Make tuition checks payable to Linda Walker but give check to Bruce.

A Message from our Directors
Linda Walker said...
What a superb performance you gave at our Christmas concert! It was a privilege to stand in front of you and listen.
We are excited about our Winter/Spring term. We hear that some of you are bringing very talented friends to join us! How wonderful! We hope that Una Voce will be as rewarding for them as it is for us.
Love you! Linda and Bruce

Spring Term 2011
Welcome back to Una Voce`s blog for the Spring Term.
We are in the process of refining a website that will be central for all of the Walker Choirs. You will be able to link to any of the choirs from this site so as to stay up to date on their happenings.
As for the new year's events for UnaVoce`, rehearsals will begin on Tuesday Jan 11, 2011 at the regular time, 8:20 p.m. We're looking forward to another great season of joyous music together.

Requested recipe for Fruit Punch Bars from last year's concert
Fruit Punch Bars
Kathleen Walker
3 eggs
2¼ c. sugar
1 qt. bottled fruit with juice (this is a good way to use up dark fruit. Apricots are especially good)
3 1/3 c. flour
¾ tsp. salt
2¼ tsp. soda
1½ tsp. vanilla
2¼ c. coconut
¾ c. thin sliced almonds
Spray a 12"x14" jelly roll pan with cooking spray. Mix together all but coconut & almonds and spread into pan. Sprinkle top with coconut & almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min. Drizzle glaze over warm cake.
Glaze:
1 c. sugar
¾ tsp. vanilla
¾ c. butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
Boil 2 minutes & drizzle over warm cake.
These are even better chilled overnight if you can keep them around that long.
