Pronunciation Guide for A La Nanita

Spanish vowels are pronounced like this:

'a'(aw) 'e' (eh) 'i' (ee) 'o' (oh) 'u' (oo)


Consonants different than english are:

't' (tongue is placed behind top, front teeth)

'b' (pronounced with a little 'v' sound--a mix of 'b' and 'v' put together)

'd' (like the t-place tongue behind teeth)

'r' (please roll tongue--dah?)

'rr' (please roll tongue even more :))

'n with a squiggly line on top' (nyeh)

'l' (with the tongue touching top, front roof of mouth

'll' (jyeh)
